Master Avi Nardia explains in detail the principles, techniques, and training exercises for advanced-level gun disarming when the attacker is pointing a gun at your head—from the front, the side, or behind—whether you are on your knees or even handcuffed. The main objective is to deflect the line of fire, control the attacker’s hand, and turn the weapon toward him, combining quick movements with firm grips, and quickly creating distance once the attacker is disarmed. The program explains technical concepts such as the use of 90-degree angles to weaken the opponent’s resistance, wrist and finger control, and the application of locks inspired by disciplines such as Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu, or Judo. In addition, specific exercises are presented to improve reaction speed and coordination, such as the so-called magician’s technique, the mosquito or the spoon movement, among others. Disarms do not depend on strength, but on timing, technique, and control of the weapon, and it is not always advisable to attempt an immediate disarm, as in some situations it is better to wait for the right moment.
